No recent overview exists of the exact number of Middle Eastern objects in Finnish museum collections, what they exactly are, their date, nor which museums hold such collections.

With the ever growing size of museum collections, it is of much help to academics and professionals to keep up-to-date inventories of objects with regard to particular subjects.

We are in the process of preparing a catalogue of these Middle Eastern museum objects for public use.
